Ok, Fine....

I've decided to go ahead and share the embarrassing story from my Friday customer visits...

On Thursday, Lisa (the administrative assistant who has completely adopted me!) hooked me up with some polo shirts that have the company logo on them. Obviously, these were brand new shirts. Friday I was wearing a snazzy looking blue one and I was feeling oh-so-professional in my company gear. We visit customer one. The visit is myself, the other sales rep, and five gentleman. Cool. We go to customer two. I'm decked out in those hot coveralls while we went in the pullet house. We come out. I take off the coveralls. We are about to leave and the customer (lady) leans in and says, "Janette, did you know that you have tags hanging on the back of your shirt?" Oh my....of course, with all the professionalism of a new sales rep, I had forgotten to remove the tags from the new shirt! And may I throw in that it was like 5 big honking tags? And also of course, Keith (other sales rep), thought it was hi-lar-ious and is so pumped to have official fodder on me....rats! Lets be honest though, what a boring and rare week in the life of Janette it would be if there were no embarrassing stories...

Now here is the bright side: its all relative. Last summer, Jamie from my national officer team did an internship with this company and also did some work with Keith. On her first visit to customers, she somehow put on the coveralls on the other side of a vehicle from the rest of the group so she couldn't necessarily see anyone else putting theirs on at that moment. She walks around the vehicle in her coveralls, confused as to why the zipper is in the back and says to Keith, "Um, can you zip me up?" Note: the coveralls do NOT zip in the back. They zip in the front. So although I am a member of the "Embarrassing Clothing Related Story from First Customer Visit Club", Jamie is officially still the president, not me. Thankfully:)
